Our People

Here you will find links to articles about individuals and member companies in New Zealand making our industry what it is today.

April 2022: Vivace Espresso turns 25

December 2021: Our Members As an association founded and based around coffee, we appreciate our diverse group of member companies. Ultimately our businesses are about community and connections. We love to help strengthen these in any way we can. There’s a lot in that cup and you’re all part of the tasty brown stuff that makes up our industry.

May 2021: Our Volunteers These guys help us produce events for our coffee community. This group has to be the most diverse group of people we know of, and can come from all walks of life not just cafes and roasteries. This groups skill set and willingness to do what needs to be done without the spotlight being shone on them is second to none. Many spending hours before or after the event, we salute you, we couldn’t die this without you all.

May 2021: International Coffee People who have visited NZ. #canweadoptyou We throwback to the time when our borders were fully open, and overseas coffee experiences were a given. We would love them to come back when the borders open up. The next best thing is quizzing them and learning more about our overseas coffee friends!

October 2020: The dealers of Green We showcase the people who get the green into our roasteries. Grab a delicious cup and read about the dealers and their philosophy of the tasty green/brown stuff.

September 2020: To celebrate our industry and highlight our education programme, we decided to contact our Authorised Instructors and ask them a few questions.

July 2020: Those that judge The industry legends who donate their time, energy and expertise in creating a world-class Championship. #initforthefreetshirt

July 2020: Meet the Baristas The competitors registered to compete in the Meadow Fresh NZ Barista Championship

July 2020: Our unsung heroes: The tech’s of NZ #mighthavelostascrew Often overlooked, these individuals keep our machines working. Put a face to that name and voice on the end of the phone by reading about our member companies and their qualified and licensed coffee technicians. We find out their preferences in machinery and how they enjoy their coffee.

June 2020: The ladies that roast #shestheroaster  To celebrate our industry and highlight our Kiwi ‘can do’ nature we decided to contact some of the ladies we knew roasting our tasty brown stuff in NZ and ask them a few questions.
