Seeking help to create a Technicians Guild

Event Date: 18th August, 2017

The New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association (NZSCA) has been collectively working to establish a Coffee Technicians Guild (CTG).

It is our hope that the CTG will create a community of technicians who can provide mutual support and knowledge, as well as provide opportunities to develop skills and learn best practices.   The aim is to develop a technician’s network, create educational pathways, and to be a valuable information resource for coffee technicians, the unsung heroes of our industry!

The guild is still in a planning phase, and participation is extremely important to the future offerings and quality of the guild. If you or a member of your team is keen to help us establish and contribute to the guild then put down your tools and please join us in Wellington:

Date: Friday 18 August
Time: 12pm – 1pm
Venue: L’affare Roastery, 102 -104 Adelaide Road, Newtown, Wellington

Register now> Coffee, sausage rolls and donuts provided.

Tell your friends to lock in these dates and cities:

Auckland, Friday 8 September
Christchurch, Wednesday 13 September

Venues and times are still to be confirmed. If you’re interested in hosting any of these events, contact Tom Handiside

We envisage that a vigorous and engaged membership will help build a platform for those new to our industry to learn hands-on skills, connect with industry veterans, and share fresh perspectives on the trade. This is the first time that many of these opportunities will be available to coffee technicians as a group.

We look forward to meeting and working with you.

Kind Regards
Tom Handiside
