Since then, she has worked for Douwe Egberts, Eden Coffee, Segafredo and now back with the Wyatt family – always in Sales, however, it is not unusual to find her behind the espresso machine or having a “geeky” conversation about a machine or your roaster!

After working in numerous cafes over the years, she found herself at Coffee Supreme where her love for hospitality, coffee and excellent customer service all came into one. Twelve years on, her current role as Operations Support Manager has been described as a bridge between finance and operations, although she is more commonly known as the directory for all things Supreme.

Since attending and volunteering at several NZSCA events, she can’t wait to be more involved. Surrounding herself with knowledgeable industry peeps, having the opportunity to learn from them and being able to put her organisational skills and hospitality to use alongside such an inspiring team will be a great experience!

Nico Refiti |Board Member and Events and Community Portfolio
Ozone Coffee Roasters, New Plymouth
+64 27 222 3461 |

Originally growing up in the central suburbs of Auckland and spending a few years slinging coffees and cocktails in Australia, I’m now settled down in New Plymouth.

Having spent my entire working life in and around the hospitality industry I’ve sampled many different jobs, but always found myself drawn towards specialty coffee! I now work as a Barista Trainer for Ozone Coffee Roasters and enjoy getting out on the road to visit cafes and baristas across the North Island.

I’ve always had an interest in hospitality competitions and have competed at various levels including the New Zealand Barista Championships the last four years, placing second in 2018.

I’m passionate about great service, scepticism, teaching and learning something new.

His true passion is developing coffee with people that share the same goal.
